IPRPA Working Committee cum Annual General Meeting 2025

The Intellectual Property Rights Protection Alliance (IPRPA) successfully convened its Working Committee and Annual General Meeting on 4 February 2026. The event brought together new and existing members to review the Alliance’s key achievements over the past year and to chart its strategic direction for the year ahead.

Prior to the meeting, members visited Hong Kong Customs’ air cargo facilities at Hong Kong International Airport, including the DHL Central Asia Hub and the Cathay Cargo Terminal. The visit provided first-hand insight into air cargo clearance procedures. Participants also observed a live demonstration by the Customs detector dog team, gaining a deeper appreciation of Hong Kong Customs’ frontline enforcement operations.

During the meetings, members reviewed the Alliance’s past initiatives and exchanged views on emerging priorities and action plans. The session reinforced members’ understanding of intellectual property protection and strengthened collaboration between industry stakeholders and law enforcement agencies.

Mr. Mario Wong, Assistant Commissioner (Intelligence and Investigation) of Hong Kong Customs and Chairman of the IPRPA, presided over the meetings and delivered the opening remarks. He expressed Hong Kong Customs’ strong commitment to sustaining close cooperation among the Alliance and its members, driving collective efforts to combat all forms of infringement and to foster a robust, sustainable environment for intellectual property protection.
